  • I already have a mobile wallet. How does the YOLO wallet and virtual card benefit me further?

  • What is the age limit for applying for the YOLO mobile wallet and virtual card?
  • There is no upper age limit. You must be 10 years of age or more to apply
  • How do I know whether I am eligible to apply for the YOLO mobile wallet and virtual card
  • The YOLO Card is open for all. To illustrate, all categories listed below are eligible to apply:
  • All College & University Students, School Students above 10 years, Employed, Self Employed, Retired, Businessmen, Armed Forces, PSU, Govt. Employees, Clerical, Supervisory, Managerial Staff & Senior Management across all categories of Employers, Domestic staff, domestic help, drivers with or without employer sponsorship, Existing Credit Card holders including those whose accounts have been suspended for ‘Credit’ or ‘Other Reasons’, Existing Debit Card holders and e-wallet customers of other wallet service providers, Housewives, Brokers, Shop-keepers, Journalists, Lawyers, Tradesmen, Shopkeepers etc. All other categories not specifically mentioned above, are also eligible to apply.
  • YOLO reserves the right to reject any application for government or regulatory or any other grounds without giving any reasons whatsoever
  • What documents do I need to provide, when will my YOLO mobile wallet be approved and how much time will it take to become active.
  • You do not need to provide any documents. Approval is immediate and your mobile wallet and the virtual card will be created instantly. Choose the ‘Get First Card’ option to generate your Virtual 16 digit MasterCard, the expiration date and the CVV.
  • Just Top-up your wallet with funds, Load funds from your wallet to your Virtual Card and spend on-line with confidence at any MasterCard merchant establishment using your 16-digit card number, card expiration date CVV number and the transaction specific OTP.
  • You can use your 16-digit MasterCard number, card expiration date CVV number and the transaction specific OTP to pay directly for re-charge of your Pre-paid mobile number, your Post-paid mobile number, your land-line bill, DTH, Gas, Electricity, Water etc.
  • You can also transfer funds directly from your wallet to a YOLO Cardholder or to any other person who is not yet a YOLO cardholder – simply send funds using his/her mobile number or e-mail address
  • What does Top-up mean; how do I Top-up my wallet and how do I load my Virtual Card. When can I start spending?
  • Top-up is the process of adding funds to your wallet. You can Top-up your Card using standard banking channels including Debit Cards, UPI, Net Banking, Credit Cards and Other Wallets.
  • All top-ups will get added to your wallet balance. All funds that you receive from other YOLO cardholders will be also be added to your wallet balance. All fund transfers that you initiate to YOLO or non-YOLO cardholders will be deducted from your wallet balance. You can transfer funds, as soon as you have funds in your wallet
  • You may load funds from your wallet to your Virtual Card or vice-versa, according to your requirements. The balance in your Virtual Card will be debited when you are using your Virtual Card, i.e. the Card Number, Expiry Date and CVV associated with your Virtual Card. Do make sure that you have transferred the requisite amount from your wallet to your Virtual Card before you transact. The CVV for your virtual Card is a three-digit number appearing on the face of your Virtual Card on the YOLO application.
  • You can make on-line payments at any Online MasterCard establishment, as soon as you have loaded funds into your Virtual Card. Make gifting easy, book movie tickets, hotels, travel, with just a couple of clicks - pay for cab rides, air, bus and train tickets, top-up your metro card – the possibilities are endless.
  • These transactions will be debited to your Virtual Card balance. You can move your balances between your wallet and your virtual card, according to your convenience at the click of a button.
  • Where is the YOLO Virtual Card Accepted?
  • Shop with the Guarantee of Acceptance at any On-line outlet in India that accepts MasterCard or displays the MasterCard logo Also, shop secure in the knowledge that your YOLO Virtual MasterCard also has OTP authenticated acceptance at all on-line establishments.
  • Upon upgradation to a physical YOLO card, you can enjoy unparalleled acceptance at over 14,00,00 online and offline MasterCard establishments across India
  • Are there any limits on the spending on the YOLO Card?
  • Your wallet is set up with a monthly top-up limit of Rs. 20,000/- This is the maximum amount that can be loaded on your wallet and spent across your wallet, virtual card or physical card. No documentation is required to top-up funds till this limit
  • Post KYC (Know Your Customer) checks, which require documentation, your top-up limit can get increased to a maximum of Rs. 50,000, at any given point of time
  • Can I withdraw cash from ATM’s using the virtual card?
  • Cash withdrawal form from a network of over 200,000 ATM’s is not available since this is a Virtual Card. This feature is available on the YOLO physical card
  • Can I set up or Gift Free Wallet and Virtual YOLO Cards to my family members, friends and domestic staff? Can I Send/ Gift or Receive funds instantly to/from any YOLO Family Member or any other YOLO Cardholder.
  • Yes, you can do a onetime setup of their wallet and virtual card if you have their names, email addresses and mobile numbers and if you share the initial password you have set up, for one time use with such friends and family numbers. Your friends and family members will need to change this password as soon as they log in to their wallet and virtual card. Do remember that both the email id as well as the mobile number will go through an independent verification process and that the wallet and virtual card must be operated by the person who you intend to set this up for. You can however top up this person’s wallet as well as receive funds from this person using the YOLO to YOLO fund transfer option - by transferring to or receiving from his email id or his mobile number
  • You can also set up such wallet and virtual cards by directly using the fund transfer option to send funds (sending as little as Rs. 1 or as much as your generosity and wallet limits permit) from your wallet and virtual card to the email address or the mobile number of such family members, friends and domestic help. Your family members, friends and domestic help will get e-mail or SMS notification (depending upon the option that you have used) and will be required to set up their wallet and virtual card before they can claim the funds that you have sent to them.
  • Is there an age limit for gifting Free Virtual YOLO Cards to my family members, friends and domestic staff as described above?
  • Intended recipients must be 10 years of age or more
  • Can I gift physical YOLO Cards to my family members, friends and domestic staff?
  • Yes, you can gift physical cards to your family members, friends and domestic staff and give them access to 14,00,000 Merchant Establishments and 200,000 ATMs* (*Post KYC). See section below on physical cards
  • How do I participate in the YOLO Get YOLO Program?
  • Participate in the YOLO Get YOLO program for unconditional and automatic credit of YOLO Bucks to your account for every referral that you make, which results in a fee paid physical YOLO card. No conditional cash back promises – just straight forward credit to your account in the first two weeks following the month in which the physical fee based account is received.
  • While it is recommended that you apply for a physical card to participate in YOLO Get YOLO, it is not mandatory to do so. You can participate in the program even if you are a Virtual Cardholder
  • The Cardholder setting up his fee based account must enter your mobile number in the ‘Referrer’s Mobile No.’ section while setting up his mobile wallet and virtual card and the ‘Referrer’s Mobile No’ section ordering his/her physical card, for you to be eligible for YOLO Bucks
  • No KYC (Know Your Customer) checks are required to credit YOLO Bucks up to Rs. 20,000 to your YOLO account. The monthly credit to your account in the form of your own top-ups and YOLO bucks cannot exceed Rs. 20,000. Any excess amount will be credited in the following month
  • KYC (Know Your Customer) checks are required to credit YOLO Bucks between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000 to your YOLO account. Post KYC, the monthly credit to your account in the form of your own top-ups and YOLO bucks cannot exceed Rs. 50,000 at any given point of time. Any excess amount will be credited at a time when the account permits such credit
  • What level of security & safety am I assured of while using my YOLO wallet and virtual Card?
  • Enjoy convenience, security and peace of mind – your wallet is protected by your User I.D. and password and your on-line transactions are authenticated by an OTP (one-time password) which is sent to your mobile phone.
  • In case you lose or misplace your phone, you can suspend your mobile wallet and virtual card at any time, using your YOLO application, keeping the balance on your card absolutely safe. As a good practice, you should also change your password immediately to prevent unauthorised access.
  • What should I do if I receive email or telephonic or verbal request to disclose my user id, password, MPIN or OTP or any other personal details
  • YOLO or Yes Bank Employees, will NEVER ask you to reveal your User ID, Password or MPIN. Therefore, never disclose your credentials (User ID, Password, OTP, MPIN etc.) to ANYONE either through mail or over the phone. If you receive any mail or call asking you to update or authenticate your User ID/Password, please DO NOT fall into the trap of sharing your Password, OTP, PIN as well as any other personal details.
  • I already have existing credit and debit cards. How will the YOLO card be of benefit to me?
  • You can reduce the risk of fraud exposure on your Credit Card limit and your Bank Balance linked Debit Card. Set your own budgets & manageable limits on your YOLO wallet and virtual card for all your transactions. Segregate your requirements and balances across your wallet (for fund transfers), your Virtual Card (for Online transactions) and your Physical Card (for Offline/POS & ATM transactions)

  • a. Sign up on www.yolo.cards for a Physical card
    • This signup is in addition to the sign-up for creating your YOLO Mobile Wallet and Virtual Card
    • For security purposes, please register details of your Card Delivery Address
    • For ease of use, you may signup using the same email id and password that you used to create your YOLO Mobile Wallet and Virtual Card
    • You can login to change your preferred Card Delivery Address as well as to edit your Customized Card Design before you place your card order. You can also change this when you are placing a card order for an additional physical card.
  • b. Choose the card that suits you best – Customized, Classic or Instant. If you are Customizing your card making sure you load high resolution images and that you follow YOLO’s image policy
  • c. Place your Card Order; use your YOLO Wallet & Virtual Card to pay for your Physical Card Fee
  • d. Allow for 2-5 business days for delivery of your physical card
  • e. Once you receive your card and PIN, follow instructions in the attached welcome letter to activate your physical card.
    • i. On the YOLO application, choose the ‘Get Another Card’ option, followed by the ‘Activate a Card’ option, followed by the ‘Use Card Number’ option.
    • ii. To complete activation, key in the 16 digits of the YOLO card that you receive and follow on-line instructions.
    • iii. Using the unique 4digit PIN enclosed with your card, you are now all set to transact freely and securely at over 14,00,000 Online and Offline (POS) MasterCard establishments and at over 200,000 ATMs (post KYC) across India

      • For ease of use, you may signup using the same email id and password that you used to create your YOLO Mobile Wallet and Virtual Card
      • You can login to change your preferred Card Delivery Address as well as to edit your Customized Card Design before you place your card order. You can also change this when you are placing a card order for an additional physical card.
    • b. Choose the Customized Card Option, making sure you load high resolution images and that you follow YOLO’s image policy
      • Make sure you put in the name of the intended recipient in the ‘Card Name’ column and relevant text in the ‘horizontal and vertical text’ columns
      • Make sure that you ‘Add a New Address’, using the intended Cardholder’s name, full address, landmarks, mobile number, city, state, pin code
      • Make sure you use your YOLO Wallet & Virtual Card or your Physical Card to pay for the Customized Card Fee. You may also use any other mode of payment available on the payment gateway.
      • The customized card for the intended recipient will be on its way. Allow for 2-5 business days for delivery of their physical card When your intended recipient receives his/her card and PIN, they need to follow instructions in the attached welcome letter to activate their physical card. *
        • - On the YOLO application, choose the ‘Get Another Card’ option, followed by the ‘Activate a Card’ option, followed by the ‘Use Card Number’ option.
        • - To complete activation, key in the 16 digits of the YOLO card that you receive and follow on-line instructions.
        • - Using the unique 4digit PIN enclosed with your card, your intended recipient is now all set to transact freely and securely at over 14,00,000 Online and Offline (POS) MasterCard establishments and at over 200,000 ATMs (post KYC) across India
